Depression

Depression often accompanies anxiety disorders and, when it does, it needs to be treated as well.

Symptoms of depression include:

  • feelings of sadness
  • hopelessness
  • changes in appetite or sleep
  • low energy
  • difficulty concentrating.

There is help for depression. Most people with depression can be effectively treated with antidepressant medications, certain types of psychotherapy, or a combination of both.

Addressing the depression will allow anxiety to be treated, whether it is affecting you in the form of a panic attack, obsessive compulsive behavior or social phobia.
